Greatest Accomplishment
Qualifying for this race. When I qualified in 2016 and got hurt and was not able to race, I never thought I would get another chance, especially with the time standards increasing the past few years.
Interesting Story
After qualifying in 2016 through the half marathon but then not being able to race due to injury, I gave up the goal. I watched 2020 come and go and was fine with that. I kept running but not at a level that would qualify me for anything. In 2021, my friends and I planned a vacation in Scotland, planning to start it off by running the Edinburgh Marathon. I decided to give it one more try to train all out. I ended up having the race of my life that day, not only qualifying for the Trials but winning the Edinburgh Marathon as well.
