Family
I have been married to Anne Taylor for 10 wonderful years. We have two children, Jake (5) and Gracie (3), and our dog Duke (8)
Greatest Accomplishment
My greatest accomplishment was hands down marrying my wife, Anne. I would not be competing in the Olympic Trials had I not had the guts to ask her on a date 15 years ago.
Interesting Story
I was a state champion cross country and track athlete in high school. However, I did not pursue a running career after graduation. I became a logger in the Pacific Northwest and later opened a Les Schwab Tire Center in Colorado. After our son was born, I had the opportunity to stay home with him. I had not run competitively in approximately 13 years. When I turned 34, I thought it would be cool if my children could see me compete at a few local fun runs. A year later I ran my first marathon and qualified for the Trials.

Seeing my family after telling them I would qualify for the Olympic Trials on my first attempt. The first thing I was asked was, "Are we going to Disney?"
