Career Highlights
3-time member of Team USA for World Athletics Cross Country Championships; 2-time bronze medalist, USATF Half Marathon Championships; 2-time All-American in cross country
Family
My fiancé, Tristin Van Ord, is also running the Trials. I have a sister, MaryBeth, and two nieces (Maddie Bea and Mackenzie James) who refer to me as “Uncle Bubba.” My mom and dad are Amy and David Colley; my mom works at William and Mary in Higher Ed and my dad is a Chief Park Ranger for the City of Newport News.
Greatest Accomplishment
I’ve got two, sorry. Winning the Virginia High School State Cross Country meet as a team. Go Eagles. Also winning the ACC Conference Cross Country Championships as a team in college. Go Wolfpack.
Interesting Story
Before July 2022 I hadn’t been able to stay healthy for more than 6-9 months at a time for my entire running career since high school. Since July 2022 I have managed to figure out how to stay healthy and I’m having a blast getting to run and compete. I’d like people to know that if they’re going through a hard time that they have to keep the faith and they will come out the other side stronger.

Favorite Running Memory
Getting second to Ryan Hill at the ACC Cross Country Championships in 2011. Getting to see him turn around and be pumped together in the finishing chute was awesome.
