Family
I live with my boyfriend, Jason, and our dog Lewis. I am the youngest of four. My older brother Adam ran at Boston University (Class of 1999). He started off as a walk-on and eventually earned a full scholarship. He also claims that he was on the DMR team that had the school record for a while.
Greatest Accomplishment
This past April I passed the board exam to become a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics. Between the schooling, practice hours and exams, this was about a 12-year process and I am very proud of my accomplishment. Qualifying for the Olympic Trials was pretty cool, too.
Interesting Story
Going into college, I did not seek out a school where I could run. I asked if I could walk on their team, but was told my times were too slow (admittedly, I did not have the most competitive times). I joined the run club and enjoyed that for four years. After graduating I accepted that I was a hobby jogger. That lasted about 2.5 years until I joined Leonia Track Club. They set me up well for when I went to grad school at University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) I was able to walk on to their team. That team is what made me truly fall back in love with running. I was a 25/26-year-old trying my hardest to make the travel team and loved every second of it. So, when my one year of eligibility was up, I was not ready to be done training and chasing goals. I remember watching the 2020 Olympic Marathon Trials, having just run my first marathon two months before with a time of 2:56, and thinking, "maybe with a couple years of work I can get my time down under 2:45." Three marathons and 2.5 years later, I ran my OTQ time. I am sometimes still in disbelief that I have qualified for the Olympic Trials.

Any time I am running in a beautiful place with friends. Most recently that was running in Crested Butte, CO, with some perfect fall foliage while my friends biked along with me.
