    Interesting Story
When I qualified for the Trials at the Indianapolis Monumental Marathon my parents and sister were in the crowds cheering me on but I was missing my biggest supporter, my husband Ryan. He is in the Coast Guard and had mandatory testing that day so was unable to be there. It was the first race he had ever missed seeing me run in the 14 years we have been together. He has run with me and biked next to me thousands of miles over the years so not having them there to celebrate with me and my family at the end was really difficult. I look forward to the Trials in February since he will be able to cheer me on once again and I can't wait for the hug and kiss at the finish.

    Favorite Running Memory
Raising my arms in the air and pumping them up and down at the 2020 Trials so that my nieces could see me in all the crowds of runners and knowing that they too can dream big and do amazing things. My dad's look of pure shock on his face when I passed him at mile 24 in second place at the Indianapolis Monumental Marathon. Crossing the finish line at the Seattle Marathon with Ryan by my side, breaking the 3-hour barrier together for the first time.
