Interesting Story
I paced the 2023 Cal International Marathon men's OTQ group, so I was excited to help quite a few men get the qualifying time on the last weekend of the qualifying window. I am proud of the four athletes I coach (men and women) who qualified for the Trials. I ran until 22 miles with my athlete Johnny Hogue (Brooklyn Track Club) as he qualified for his first Trials. I am equally proud of the hard-working women and men I work with who dreamed big and fell a bit short of their goal this time around. Their courage and hard work inspires me just as much as the qualifiers.

Favorite Motivational Quote
My friends, teammates, training partners and family are who motivate me.
Favorite Running Memory
My favorite running memories all center around racing and achieving something as part of a team. Whether we won the conference in cross country (Columbia, 2009) or I was working together with a training partner during a big race (finishing 20th and 21st with Ethan Shaw in the 2016 Trials) it's always far more rewarding to work together and accomplish things with the guys who I put in the work with. As a coach, I loved being at the finish line of the race and seeing my athletes Erin G (2022 Berlin,) Lily Anderson (2023 Berlin,) and Duriel and Johnny (2023 CIM) get under the OTQ time.
