Family
Recently married college sweetheart, Michael Giguere, who also ran at Cal Poly and was 2-time Big West Champion in the 10,000m and 5,000m. Father, Richard Vasquez, still holds the Clayton Valley High School 2-mile record (9:09) set in 1977, which happens to be the same record time husband ran at Westlake High School in 2014. Favorite and most consistent running partner is dog Lily, an (almost) 3-year-old Vizsla.
Greatest Accomplishment
Walking onto the Cal Poly Cross Country team sophomore year after not having run since eighth grade.
Interesting Story
Suffered from anterior tibialis compartment syndrome throughout high school, which took her out of running and pushed her further into competitive soccer.

Favorite Running Memory
Running without pain (and somewhere other than the soccer field) for the first time on Christmas Day my sophomore year in college. I ended up going out 4.5 miles with elation, suddenly realizing I had to run the 4.5 miles home. I couldn't walk for two days.
