Married in 2021 to Christine Thorn, a former USATF finalist in the steeplechase who is currently battling stage 4 breast cancer. Parents are Amy and John Fischer; two brothers, Evan and Graham Fischer.
Interesting Story
Christine was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in January 2023. The past year has been a difficult one for us, as we reframe what our life looks like day-to-day and long-term. It was an unexpected and heartbreaking diagnosis that has completely reframed my outlook and approach on life and running. Representing her and competing for her at the Trials is a symbol of her strength, resiliency and commitment to love and happiness despite adversity.
