Career Highlights
6th, 2021 Bank of America Chicago Marathon; competed for U.S. in the 2022 World Athletics Marathon Championships; 2012 Drake Relays 10,000m champion
Family
My entire immediate family attended the University of Illinois; my wife, Melissa, also ran for the University of Illinois. We have a son, Finn, who is almost. I have an identical twin brother, Hunter, who was an All-American in the 10,000m for the University of Illinois.
Interesting Story
I took 6 years off from competitive running after using up my NCAA eligibility in 2012. My first race back was in the fall of 2018 when I decided to run a half marathon that started less than a mile from where I lived. I was the victor! I qualified for my first U.S. Olympic Team Trials-Marathon in my debut at the distance in the 2019 Bank of America Chicago Marathon, with a 2:14:55. I made my first World Athletics Championships team in 2020, for the half marathon, although i ended up not going due to COVID. I then competed in the 2022 World Athletics Championships marathon.
