Career Highlights
3rd-fastest US-born African-American female marathoner; All-American basketball player.
My mom, Sharon Hendrix, is a backup singer for Barry Manilow and has been in the music industry for over 40 years, singing with artists such as Tom Jones, Sammy Davis Jr., Natalie Cole, Stevie Wonder, etc. My stepdad, Danny Voss, is a contractor in Southern California who has built amazing homes from the Los Angeles area to Ventura County. I have a twin sister, Jade, who is a singer as well and she has a nearly 2-year-old daughter, Lenny, with her wife, Ariella, who works at Disney. My older sister, April, has two daughters, Nile and Phoenix. My fiancée, Veronica, is a clinical therapist who owns her own practice in Portland where we live with our two dogs, Mable and Casanova.
Greatest Accomplishment
Running 2:35 at CIM in 2022 and qualifying for the 2024 Trials.
Interesting Story
I played basketball my whole life, all through high school and college. I tried to qualify for the 2020 Olympic Marathon Trials twice and failed both times to hit the standard. I eventually ran 2:44 during the pandemic in a virtual marathon.
