Interesting Story
I battled injuries consistently during the last three years of my college career. During nine seasons (cross, indoor and outdoor), I ran 15 races, 12 of them during the first two seasons. I could never run more than 3-4 months at a time without an injury. I couldn't even cross train at times. For my final race during this long stint, I once again battled a different injury during training and dropped out because of it. At the same time, I was already committed to run for another college - I was completing my bachelors so I had to transfer to pursue my masters, and, after that race, I thought about de-committing and hanging it up. For some good reason, I decided to stick with it and it turned out to be a great decision. I ran PRs in everything from the 3K on up. During that one healthy redemption year, I was able to make my ultimate college goal come true: qualifying for DII Nationals in the 10K. That set me up to transition to the marathon and make the Trials.

Favorite Running Memory
Having my friend Walker there for me after I crossed the finish line after I qualified for the 2024 Trials at CIM, which was also my debut marathon. Just him flying halfway across the country and spending his own money and taking the time out of his life to be there for me is something I won't forget.
