Career Highlights
I just missed the standard for 2020. Qualifying for these Trials is by far the biggest highlight of my career. My 8K cross country PR in college was 25:35; essentially the same pace as my marathon now. I had a real rough go of it at American University, running-wise. But I came out of that with making it to these Trials as THE goal.
Family
I got married in October to Emma (Hecker) Doud (27). She runs too, and after a year of getting into long races she notched a 2:49. My brother, Nick Doud (23) is a 5th-year grad student at Illinois State University and runs for the track and cross country teams.
Greatest Accomplishment
It's hard to rank them, but using recency bias, getting a job with a major tech company that is going to move us across the country for a new adventure is considerable.

This is easy. Qualifying for the Trials with two of my teammates, within 20 seconds of each other. I don't know if I've ever been happier in my life - or at least had a bigger hit of dopamine.
