Career Highlights
Most recently my three marathons in 30 days in 2022, with a PR in the last: 24th, TCS New York City Marathon; 2nd, Philadelphia Marathon; 7th, California International Marathon (2:29:21). Also: 6th, 2021 Bank of America Chicago Marathon;
7th, 2017 Bank of America Chicago Marathon; 7th, 2016 U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials
Family
My better half is Matt McDonald, who is also racing. It's been amazing getting a front row seat to his training and seeing his progression over the past couple of years; excited to see what he will do on race day. I come from an athletic family; they've all recently picked up golf, so we'll see if I get into that in the future.
Greatest Accomplishment
Probably getting my OT license - having a career outside of running and finding balance.
Interesting Story
I had a blast taking an unconventional approach (by accident) to the marathon in the fall of 2022, with the quick back-to- back marathons. It allowed me to have fun and test my body, and I've gotten some feedback to dabble in ultra territory. Guess we'll see.
Favorite Post-race Indulgence
Burger and Fries
Favorite Motivational Quote
“Whether you think you can, or you think you can't – you're right.” - Henry Ford Also: "You touch it, you catch it" - (but when my grandpa would say it)
Favorite Running Memory
My mom somehow always showing up to every single race, big or small, in high school. And of course, becoming BFFs w/ Matt.
