Family
My older brother is a big reason I got into running, as joining track and field my sophomore year of high school helped draw us closer together. My younger sister just had her first kid (Moses) and my Mom and Dad live in a small town, Wisconsin Rapids.
Greatest Accomplishment
It's not really an accomplishment, but it would be impossible to get a clear picture of me without talking about my faith. It's not really about what I've done, but what Christ has done for me. Romans 5:8 says, "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Through everything, we have a God who loves us. Despite my shortcomings, I am thankful for Jesus and everything he has done for me.
Interesting Story
I have been the Head Boys' Track and Field coach at Nathan Hale High School for the past 11 years. I am also the advisor for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Favorite Running Memory
Qualifying for the Trials for the first time was incredibly special. It was my first marathon, Chicago 2014. From the roaring crowds to the excitement of crossing the line to the joy in my mom's voice as we talked on the phone afterwards, it was a really special day.
